Land and Sea

Back on land and back to reality. The cruise was AWESOME and I wish it didn't have to end. Being cut off from every one for a week was very relaxing. It really feels like you exist in another world for the time being and I enjoyed that. Here are some highlights from my cruise:

1. Sunny skies every single day
2. The most beautiful blue color I have ever seen in both sky and water.
3. Having the most incredible customer service ever
4. Winning $160 dollars at the casino
5. Listening to a great band everynight who did a fantastic version of "Purple Rain", which they did every night just for us!
6. Being on the top level of the ship and feeling the wind whip through me. It was invigorating....and scary when it almost blew me over!
7. Laying out on the topless deck and coming out with no tan lines.
8. Trying to get a drink from the waiters while laying out on the topless deck. You had to be there, but it was funny!
9. Delicious food!
10. The water slide
11. Clinging to the Captains neck while he coaxed me out on the Sting Ray excursion. Trust me when I say that I felt a little bit too much of the "Captain"
12. Having drinks named Yellow Bird, Miami Vice and Caribbean Breeze.
13. The FM2 which will stay the groups dirty little secret.
14. Spending time with a great group of people who know how to have a good time and laugh at everything.

I can't wait to go next year!

Park People

There is a weird trend happening at a park close to my work where I eat lunch sometimes. I have noticed this before, even at other parks but today I was extremely baffled by my fellow park people. The weird trend is that almost all of the people that go to this park during their lunch hour, choose to stay in their cars with the windows rolled up just staring at the nature that is very accessible just 2 feet in front of them. This baffles me to no end! I feel like I am the butt of these park people's joke and they know something I don't, like if I step too far into the luscious green grass with the beautiful colorful leaves falling, that the ground is going to swallow me whole. I really don't get it! Today I counted 13 cars with one person in each all holed up on this beautiful day. In fact, as I was sitting on the dare I say picnic table, I noticed a man looking at me in awe that I was actually going to do it. I was actually sitting OUTSIDE at a PARK eating a SANDWICH! What is wrong with me? What am I thinking, enjoying nature and the sights and sounds of it all for the mere moments I get during my hectic 9 hour day? Maybe they are too insecure to eat lunch alone or maybe what is playing on their radio is just too good to trade in for nature's song you hear in the park. Either way, all I know is these park people are missing out. They are missing the prettiness of Fall in Ohio and probably what will be the last nice days for months to come. I plan to enjoy it while it lasts.

Anchors Away!

In exactly 14 days, I will be on a Cruise! I will be going to Grand Cayman and Jamaica!
I have a few Pros and Cons:

Pros:
1. First time on a Cruise and traveling Internationally
2. Going on a vacation with a great group of people where there is no doubt it will be a blast!
3. Going on vacation!
4. Due to being at Sea, access to internet and cell phone will be limited.

Cons:
1. The trend of missing people on cruise ships.
2. Due to being at Sea, access to internet and cell phone will be limited.

All in all, I am very excited and can't wait! I plan to keep a journal of my trip, so I will be sure to post some of those entries here when I return to land.

Bon Voyage!
