Not my typical Friday night

I went to my first strip club last night. I know that of the people that know me personally and read this blog, that is going to raise some eyebrows given my normal stance on strip clubs. What's even craizer is, it was my idea. Here's why. Last night I went out with my friend S and her newly divorced male friend E. He is in his early 30's and was with this women who he commanly refers to as "Satan" for 14 years. My impression of E is that he is a sweet natured guy, very funny and I know is educated because he has a law degree. During conversation (and mind you after quite a few beers), it comes out that E has NEVER in his life been to a strip club. Not even for his or one of his friends bachelor parties, apparently because "Satan" would never approve. Now I can understand why a wife would have a problem if her husband went to a strip club every night or weekend...but not even ONCE? In my mind, it is fairly typical for a guy to go to a strip club at least a few times in his adult life. So S and I figure since we are at a bar that is conveniently located right by a strip club and the night is still young, E should experience this for the first time. S has been to a few and claims that this particular one is a little bit more classy than the norm, which is good in my opinion. We choose our table, get a drink and get our change back in one's so that E can get some close up and personal attention. We also bought E a private dance with our favorite girl that night. I don't know what happens in that room, but he came back with a big smile on his face and a free t-shirt! He also thanked us profusely for the remainder of the night. It may not have been my typical Friday night, but it was fun all the same.

I am so glad you guys came down this weekend! It's so amazing that we have all been best friends for 20 years and have stayed as close as we still are! I always have so much fun around you both and laugh so hard my stomache hurts. I actually think you guys could take your humor on the road and make some decent money!! I could be the manager and I would only ask for a 90% cut of the profit!! : ). Although I think I might be the only one in the audience laughing since our stories are full of 20 years of inside jokes, but I like it that way!

I miss and love you both! Can't wait til we can get together for another weekend!!

Dear Uncle Tony:

My friends and I talked about you this weekend. We are sorry that you are away right now but we enjoyed the picture of you standing proud and erect in your purple helmet. We are looking forward to the day when you come back and can hang out with us. The time we spend together is nothing less than spectacular and you really know how to show a girl a good time. When you are missing, it is easy to see why you are such an important part of our lives. I understand why you don't like to be around when Aunt Flo is here. It can get pretty messy between the two of you. It gets hard when you can be a real dick head or a big pain the ass. We on the other hand, like the presence of your company and welcome it often. The last time we went camping, you had to pitch a tent all by yourself. We promise to help the next time around and to also drive the Jimmy straight into the camp site without any direction. We also want to let you know that we enjoy the Sunday drives that we have had. Riding with you is a very memorable experience. With your help, we have become an expert at the stick shift. We all know that you, Uncle Tony need fresh air every know and again and promise to take you for a ride whenever needed.
