Red, White and Bruise!

What's the deal with me and Holiday driving mishaps? After today I think I am going to steer clear (no pun intended) of driving on one of these days. The day after Thanksgiving I ended up with 2 blown tires and today I had the scariest driving experience so far in my 14 years on the road. Thankfully I am 100% fine along with the other drivers that were on the road at that time and the only evidence I have of my accident this morning is a sore body, a small bruise on my right foot and being without a car for a short time. Realistically this accident could have been a lot worse and I think that shook me up more than anything. Recently I have been thinking about how short life really can be and have been trying to direct my life to what makes me happy but situations like today make you even more aware. People always say how important it is to tell the ones you care about how you feel and to live live life to the fullest everyday and now I see why. Fear not friends, I will not bog you down with my new found sappines (at least not on a daily basis anyway) but I am going to make more of an effort to not let fears get in my way as much as they have in the past and continue to strive to "live life to the fullest" for whatever that means for me. Consider it a wake up call but I feel very lucky that after my car did a few 360s on a major freeway, all I walked away with is the realization I might need a Drivers Ed refresher course and a barely there bruise. Who knew such a small thing could be so significant!
